Laurel’s Healthy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

From the kitchen of England House B&B

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. br. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 350.

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and salt. Beat well. Stir flour, baking powder, wheat germ and rolled oats togeter with a fork. Blend well with other ingredients. Add a Tbs. of water (or more) if necessary to hold mix. together. Place spoonful, slightly flattened, on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 mins. Yummy and healthy. Enjoy.
